VMLY&R Intro to Art Direction/Experience Design/Motion & Video in Kansas City
VMLY&R Staff
SCHEDULE:
10:30 AM – Noon: Meet with the entire group for an overview of VMLY&R, sharing some of the work, as well as cultural aspects of the agency like our EI&B and VMLY&R Foundation community efforts.
Noon – 1 PM: Pizza and soft drink lunch for the students, along with the opportunity to meet some of our creative, experience design and integrated production leaders.
1 PM – 3 PM We’ll break the students into three targeted tracks: art direction, experience design and motion/video. (I have key leads in each of these areas planning a more focused look into the process and experience of working in each of these areas — this may include the opportunity to meet with the teams actively working on client projects and perhaps even the chance to brainstorm with them.)
3 PM - 4 PM The entire group comes back together for a brief presentation from the talent acquisition team on what we look for/tips for putting their portfolio together. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. MAX CAPACITY: 30

The Intersection of Art and Technology: Using AI to Forecast
Anda Khoder
In this workshop, students will learn how to use AI technology to forecast creative trends for the year 2024. They will start by grounding their work in cultural insights and choosing a consumer mindset. Then, they will use tools like Chat GPT and Midjourney to create a unique point of view that includes essence words, editorial voice, color palettes, materials, icons, photographic styles, and artistic stylizations. The goal is to create a point of view that is flexible enough to be commercialized for any business and/or consumer. MAX CAPACITY: 25
