In 1978, she founded Willoughby Design, one of the first woman-owned design firms in the United States. Known as a trailblazer for creating a vibrant design culture, Willoughby continues to attract exceptional talent and entrepreneurial clients who share a passion for transforming budding ideas into beautiful and satisfying products and experiences. As Willoughby Design approaches its 50th anniversary, it is thriving under Willoughby’s tenured partners and new owners, Megan Stephens and Nicole Satterwhite. Ann’s lifetime of work and contributions to the design community were recognized in 2014 with the prestigious AIGA Medal, given to individuals in recognition of exceptional efforts in creativity and leadership.
